This project reorganizing a music college campus includes two new buildings—the much-used three-level rehearsal-room building, and the five-story administration block. The freely curved, voluminous form of the Silver Mountain has a stainless steel exterior that shines tranquilly, while the Red Cliff is clad in a cheerful red mosaic tiles. The contrasting shapes, dramatic cave-like interiors and vivid colors are intended to spark the creativity of the budding artists who come to the college. Japanese architect Kunihide Oshinomi has designed a glimmering, anthropomorphic building like a futuristic sea anenome at the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Kawasaki prefecture.
Basaltite® stone has been chosen by the designer for main lobby flooring and internal staircase.
